Sex Fiend from Whitstable Slapped with 21 More Years Behind Bars
A vile sex offender from Whitstable, Graham Kemp, has been hit with a hefty prison sentence after a fresh probe unearthed shocking crimes spanning almost 60 years.
New Charges While Locked Up
While already behind bars, Kemp, 76, formerly of Gosselin Street, faced six new indecent assault charges in May 2022. That’s not all – he was also charged with unlawful sex with a girl under 13 and one count of rape.
History of Horrors: Previous Convictions
Back in 2018, Kemp got five years and three months for a series of sex crimes committed from the late 1990s to 2004. These included indecent assault on a young girl and indecency with a child.
After his initial conviction, more victims bravely stepped forward, triggering Kent Police to launch a complex investigation. They uncovered abuse allegations dating all the way back to the 1960s.
Justice Served at Canterbury Crown Court
On January 5, 2024, Kemp was sentenced to an **additional 21 years** at Canterbury Crown Court. Detective Constable Claire Baker, who led the case, slammed Kemp’s “despicable” actions and vowed the team would “do everything possible to seek justice.”
