Accrington Man Jailed for Sick Vape Bribe to Teen Girl
Aqib Mahmood, from Accrington, has been locked up after offering a 14-year-old girl sex in exchange for a vape. The vile deal shocked the community and saw Mahmood finally admit guilt just before his victim was due to testify.
Shocking Charges Uncovered
- Two counts of causing or inciting sexual activity with a child aged 13-15 (penetrative)
- One count of causing or inciting sexual activity (non-penetrative)
- One count of sexual assault
Mahmood was working in his father’s shop in Warrington when he made the sick offer. Initially denying all charges, he later pleaded guilty under pressure.
Judge Daniel Prowse slammed Mahmood for his clear sexual attraction to teenage girls, warning he posed a serious risk to youngsters.
Harsh Sentence Sends Strong Message
Mahmood was sentenced to two years and eight months behind bars. On top of that, he must wear a 20-year sexual harm prevention order and will stay on the sex offender register for life.
“It’s not unusual for offenders to struggle with remorse,” said the judge, acknowledging Mahmood’s late regret.
This case makes one thing clear: predators targeting children will face tough justice. Mahmood’s sentence is a chilling warning to wannabe offenders.
