Ahmed Deq Mohamed, 20, from Acacia Close in Surrey Quays, has been sentenced to four and a half years behind bars for raping a girl under 13. The vile attack happened on Friday, June 16.

Forensics Crack the Case

Detective Praises Victim’s Bravery

“I would like to praise the victim for initially coming forward to police, and for reporting this repulsive behaviour from Mohamed,” said Detective Constable Oliver Colville, who led the investigation. “The compelling video account she provided, combined with forensic evidence, was enough to convict Mohamed.”

Support for Victim and Family

Throughout the trial, the victim and her family received specialist care and support and will continue to be supported by officers following Mohamed’s sentencing. This case highlights the Metropolitan Police’s serious approach to sexual offences and their commitment to helping victims through the judicial process.
