Man Stabbed Multiple Times Outside Tesco in Shocking Staffordshire Attack

A brutal stabbing outside a busy Tesco in Staffordshire has left shoppers panicked and a man seriously injured. Pavel Stefanovic launched a savage knife attack after a brief chat inside the Meir Park store, turning a routine day into a scene of terror.

Violence Explodes in Tesco Car Park

After their brief conversation, the victim and Stefanovic headed to the Tesco car park. That’s where Stefanovic whipped out a hidden Stanley knife and slashed at the man’s hand, arm, legs, and even his nose. Witnesses recall the victim’s wife screaming in horror as Stefanovic wildly swung the blade.

Police arrived after a tense 20-minute standoff, catching Stefanovic still brandishing the knife and threatening to kill. They also found a second Stanley knife in his pocket.

Jailed for 29 Months – Deportation Looms

The 39-year-old from Meir was sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court to 29 months behind bars. His criminal history includes a five-year prison term in Lithuania for grievous bodily harm involving a knife, making deportation almost certain once he serves his time.

Judge Slams “Serious and Persistent” Knife Assault

“You swung a knife at the victim’s face, cutting his hand, stabbing his arm and leg, and caused multiple wounds,” said Judge Richard McConaghy. “This was a persistent incident that caused serious alarm and distress in a busy public place. Given you are a foreign national, your prison term will trigger automatic deportation.”

The victim suffered a 2cm cut on his left hand, a puncture wound on his right forearm, plus several other injuries that needed stitches. Stefanovic admitted to unlawful wounding and possession of bladed articles in public.

This shocking stabbing has rocked the community, raising fresh fears over knife crime in public spaces.
