Man Arrested After Stour Street Rape Allegation
A 22-year-old man from Gillingham was arrested by Kent and Essex Serious Crime detectives following a horrifying attack in the early hours of Sunday, 23 June 2019.
The victim reported being raped in an alleyway near Stour Street between midnight and 2am. She had met the suspect the night before, on Saturday.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Scrutinise CCTV
Officers are combing through CCTV footage and forensic evidence from multiple locations, including Gas Lane, Greyfriars Cottages Road, and The Tannery.
Detectives urge anyone who saw or heard anything around these areas during the time frame to come forward.
