20-Year-Old Busted in Dramatic Gillingham Police Chase
A 20-year-old man from Strood was caught after a high-speed police pursuit in Gillingham in the early hours of Saturday, November 9, 2024.
Motorcycle Chase Ends in Collision
Police spotted a motorcycle parked on the pavement along Gillingham Gate Road around 1:30 am. When officers approached to check on the rider, he sped off. The chase went through Purser Way, where the biker crashed into a bollard and a police cruiser.
Cash, Drugs and Multiple Charges
Upon arrest, officers found £515 in cash along with cannabis and suspected cocaine. The man faces a string of charges including drug dealing, dangerous driving, driving while unfit through drugs, and failing to stop for police.
Bail and Ongoing Investigation
The suspect has been released on bail as investigations continue into the incident.
