Suspected dealer in crash drama

A suspected drug dealer has been hit with multiple charges after a high-speed crash in Tunbridge Wells.

BMW flees and smashes into parked cars

On Saturday 13 April 2019, around 5pm, police on patrol in Kingswood Road spotted a suspicious BMW. The driver sped off, crashing into parked cars and a lamp post on Delves Avenue before dashing off on foot.

Man caught in nearby woodland

Officers launched a search and arrested 20-year-old Leutrim Citaku near Forest Road, Hawkenbury. During the arrest, police seized a stash of cash. A package containing suspected cocaine was also found in a garden on Delves Avenue.

Multiple charges and court date set

Citaku, from Queripel Close, faces charges including possession of cocaine with intent to supply, dangerous driving, driving without insurance, and possession of cash believed to be crime proceeds. He has been remanded in custody and will appear via video link before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 15 April.
