Drug Dealer Nabbed with £6,000 Worth of Cocaine in Folkestone Sting
Police on patrol in Folkestone have smashed a drug operation after catching Tomas Molnar red-handed with bags of cocaine and weapons. The 20-year-old was arrested following a sharp police chase on The Leas.
Officers Spot Suspicious Activity and Stop Vehicle
On Friday 14 January 2022, cops were patrolling Tram Road, acting on a tip-off about drug dealing in the area. They noticed dodgy behaviour in a nearby car park before pulling over a Range Rover carrying Molnar.
The officers found around £350 worth of cocaine on him at the scene and immediately arrested him.
Search Uncovers Huge Haul of Drugs, Cash, and Weapons
Police searched Molnar’s home on Broadmead Road, Folkestone, and discovered over £3,000 in cash, more than £3,000 worth of cocaine, plus a knuckle duster and nunchucks. They also seized a mobile phone used to organise drug deals.
Two Years Behind Bars for Drug Dealing and Weapons Charges
Molnar admitted to possessing cocaine with intent to supply, possession of weapons, and handling criminal property. On Thursday 21 April, he was sentenced to two years and three months in jail at Canterbury Crown Court.
PC Nicholas Webb from the County Lines and Gangs Team said: “The alertness of our officers on the day of this arrest has led to the seizure of a large amount of class A drugs, weapons and criminal cash.
“We will continue to work every day in Kent’s towns to detect and arrest those who bring in drugs that spread misery in the community.
“I hope this sentencing sends out a message that those who get involved in drug dealing will be tracked down and sent to jail.”
