Hit-and-Run Horror in Hove Leaves Woman Fighting for Life
Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver after a 32-year-old woman was badly hurt in a shocking collision on Portland Road, Hove. The hit-and-run took place between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, leaving the victim with serious leg injuries that needed surgery.
Woman Left Injured as Driver Flees Scene
The woman was walking along Portland Road when she was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver sped off without stopping, abandoning the injured pedestrian. She remains in hospital, recovering from her wounds.
Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward
Officers want anyone who was near Portland Road between 10pm on December 2 and 3am on December 3 to come forward. They’re particularly interested in dash-cam, doorbell, or CCTV footage that could help identify the culprit.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area of Portland Road between the hours of 10 pm on Saturday, December 2, and 3 am on Sunday, December 3, to come forward,” said a police spokesperson. “If you saw or heard anything suspicious, or if you have any dash cam, doorbell, or CCTV footage, please contact us.”
