Hit-and-Run Horror: Cyclist Injured in Portsmouth, Driver Flees Scene
Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver after a collision with a teenage cyclist in Portsmouth. The incident happened on Monday, April 9, around 11.10am on Gladys Avenue.
Teen Hurt, Driver Vanishes
A 15-year-old boy suffered a knee injury in the smash. He was rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital for treatment. Shockingly, the silver car involved sped off without stopping.
Police Plea for Witnesses
PC Colin 1 from the Joint Roads Policing Unit said: “The collision occurred near the Ophir Road junction. Anyone who was nearby around that time might hold vital details. Even if you didn’t see the crash, something you noticed could help.”
Driver Urged to Own Up
“If you think you were the driver, please come forward,” warned PC Colin. “It’s important you do the right thing.”
