Tragic Hit-and-Run in Andover: Family Pleads for Justice After Man Killed
The family of Brian Tozer, 46, shattered after he was fatally hit on an Andover roundabout in Hampshire, have paid a heartfelt tribute. The kitchen assistant, found lying injured shortly after midnight on Sunday, fought for his life in hospital but sadly passed away.
Family’s Heartfelt Plea
From her home, relative Jenine Brister spoke out: “My uncle was rushed to Southampton General, but sadly he lost his fight. Someone hit him with their car and didn’t stop.”
She added a direct appeal to the driver: “I don’t care why or how… hand yourself in. You’ve taken a life and left a massive hole in our hearts.”
Police Hunt Hit-and-Run Driver
The collision happened near Folly Roundabout on Redon Way just after 12.45am on Sunday. A passing motorist found Brian and called emergency services. Despite rapid hospital treatment, he tragically died.
Sergeant Adrienne Jerram of the Serious Collision Unit urged witnesses: “We need to trace the vehicle and driver urgently. If you know anything or have noticed a car with new damage since Saturday, please come forward.”
Break in the Case
Police confirmed a 28-year-old man from Andover has been arrested in connection with the incident.
