Serious Crash Shuts Down Busy Hampshire Road – One Cyclist Seriously Hurt

Police are hunting for witnesses after a nasty collision on the B2177 Southwick Road on Saturday morning. The smash happened around 8.45am, northbound between James Callaghan Drive and Pitymoor Lane.

Cyclist Left with Serious Head Injuries

Two cyclists out together crashed in the busy stretch, leaving one man, 61, with serious head injuries. He was rushed to southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton General Hospital for urgent treatment.

Road Closed for Three Hours

Officers closed the northbound lane for about three hours to investigate the scene and gather evidence. Traffic was severely affected during the morning rush.
