A 37-year-old Portsmouth man was knocked down on Station Street at around 11.20pm last Sunday, March 27. The victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening head injuries.

“I am appealing directly to anyone who was in the area of Station Street around this time on Sunday night,” said Senior Investigating Officer Sgt Darren Ord from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit. “Did you see a silver Astra being driven damaged, or anyone acting suspiciously near the Angling Club’s car park? You may be able to help.”
