Tragic Schoolboy Killed in Northfleet Road Crash

Kent Police are hunting witnesses after a deadly collision involving an 11-year-old boy in Northfleet.

The crash happened around 8.25am on Wednesday, 2 February 2022, on Vale Road near the junction with Colyer Road and Park Avenue. A white Mercedes Sprinter minibus collided with the young pedestrian.

Emergency crews rushed the boy to hospital, but he later died. His family have been informed.

Teen Arrested Over Manslaughter

As the probe continues, officers arrested a teenage boy, also a pedestrian, on suspicion of manslaughter. He has been released on bail until 17 February while investigations go on.

  • Drivers with dashcam footage are also asked to check their recordings for anything useful.
