Judge Sean Morris slammed Martin’s actions, telling him he had “disgraced” the English flag, which “belongs to everyone in this country.”

“This calls for an immediate prison sentence – there has to be an element of deterrence so other young men aged 18, in work and with no previous convictions, realise that actions have consequences. Whether online or on the street, the courts will keep the peace by deterring others from such action,” said Judge Morris.
The judge also warned that Martin’s threats to start a fire near the centre could have had “fatal consequences.”

Martin pleaded guilty to all charges after being arrested at the scene, where he resisted officers before custody.
