Shoplifting Spree Shocker: Teen Caught Red-Handed in Chichester Theft Rampage
18-year-old Pele Cullum has admitted to a string of daring shoplifting raids across Chichester. It all began with a major booze heist at Tesco on Fishbourne Road East at 11.20am on March 2.
£1,500 Jacket Haul and More Booze Boosts
Cullum’s crime spree quickly escalated. Just over an hour later, he swiped jackets worth around £1,500 from Cotswold on East Street. Not content, he returned at 3.30pm to raid the alcohol aisles again.
Destruction at Co-op Caps Reckless Rampage
The chaos reached its peak at 4.40pm when Cullum struck the Co-op on East Street. He caused serious damage by toppling a wine tower and scattering crates of beer.
Facing Justice: Court Hearings and Police Response
Living on Bayford Road in Littlehampton, Cullum appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on March 6. He pleaded guilty to three counts of shoplifting and one of criminal damage. Sentencing is set for April 19 at Portsmouth Crown Court, where he remains in custody.
Detective Sergeant Colin O’Hare said: “Sussex Police take a firm stance on business crime and will prosecute offenders when evidence is clear. Cullum’s behaviour was wholly unacceptable. No one should have to deal with this kind of conduct at their workplace.”
