Tragedy on Winchester Road as beloved biker dies in horror crash

Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Popular Rider

At 7.17pm, emergency crews rushed to the A3057 Winchester Road after a three-wheeled black Yamaha motorcycle veered off the road. The bike was heading north towards Andover when it left the carriageway between Norman Court Lane and the A303, coming off a right-hand bend.

The rider, Robert Gregory, 67, from Maccallum Road, Enham Alamein, died at the scene.

Family Pays Heartbreaking Tribute

“We are absolutely devastated that we have lost our beloved Robby, fondly known as Robby One Leg or Robohop,” said his next of kin.

“Robby was a well-known figure adored by all. He was always the first to help anyone in need. A passionate motorsport enthusiast, he competed in countless races and competitions over the years.

“He loved his trikes and bike club, living life to the fullest. He will be terribly missed, especially by his children and grandkids. Our daughter, family and partner appreciate all the support and condolences.”

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers are still investigating the collision. They are urging anyone with dash cam footage or information from just before the crash to come forward.
