Tragic Death of Alfie Steele Sparks Court Drama
Police rushed to a Worcestershire home on 18 February last year after Alfie Steele was found critically ill. The young boy was airlifted to a Birmingham hospital, but tragically, he died soon after.
Couple Charged Over Alfie’s Death
Carla Scott, 34, from Vashon Drive, Droitwich, and Dirk Howell, 39, of Princip Street, Birmingham, face serious charges. Both are accused of causing or allowing the death of a child.
Additional Charges of Cruelty
The pair also stand accused of cruelty to a child under 16, allegedly committed between July 2019 and February 2021.
Scott and Howell are set to appear at Worcester Crown Court on 25 February for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
