The police gave the green light to chase the Fiesta, which was later abandoned on Vigo Road in Vigo about an hour after the chase began.

A police helicopter swooped in to assist officers in searching for the driver. A man was eventually arrested on suspicion of driving offences.
Driver in the Dock: Peter Taylor Faces Court
On Monday 12 October, 28-year-old Peter Taylor, from Simpson Road, Snodland, was charged with dangerous driving, driving without insurance, and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court the following day and was remanded to Maidstone Crown Court, with a hearing set for 10 November.
