Two Teens Jailed Over Essex Close Stabbing and High-Speed Chase
Rochun Aransibia, 21, and Tarique Wong-Shaw, 22, have been locked up for a combined 10-plus years after a violent stabbing in Luton.
Stabbing Sparks Police Chase
Officers rushed to Essex Close, Luton, at around 4.30pm on 14 September after reports a teenager had been stabbed. Emergency services took the victim to hospital.
Moments later, armed police spotted a black VW Golf believed to be used by the suspects. The driver recklessly sped through Hatters Way before finally stopping in Spinney Road.
Arrests and Evidence Unearthed
- Wong-Shaw was arrested at the scene; blood was found on his grey tracksuit.
- Police discovered three knives in his rucksack, two smeared with blood.
- Aransibia fled but was later arrested after a tip-off from an off-duty officer who spotted him as a passenger in a Skoda Fabia on Wellfield Avenue.
Sentences handed down
Aransibia got four years and 11 months, including:
- 4 years and 3 months for wounding with intent
- 13.5 months for possession of a bladed article (served concurrently)
- 8 months for dangerous driving (served consecutively)
Wong-Shaw was sentenced to five years and four months, including:
- 4 years and 8 months for wounding with intent
- 14.5 months for possession of a bladed article (served concurrently)
- 8 months for possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply (served consecutively)
