Third Suspect Charged in Deadly New Cross Stabbing
A third man has been charged with murder after the fatal stabbing of Antonios Antoniadis in New Cross.
Victim Dies After Two Weeks in Hospital
Police rushed to Florence Terrace at 9:20am following reports of a stabbing. They found Antonios Antoniadis, in his late 20s, critically injured. He was rushed to hospital for specialist intensive care but sadly died on Sunday, July 21, two weeks after the attack.
Three Charged Over Antonios’ Murder
- Sofian Alliche, 19, from Holborn, and a 17-year-old youth remain charged and appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on July 25.
- Now, Shian Johnson, 25, from Camden, has also been hit with charges. He is due to appear at Bexley Magistrates’ Court today, July 30.
Police Hunt for Crucial Witness
Officers have released a photo of 19-year-old Joshua McCorquodale, believed to hold vital information. Police urge anyone who spots him to call 999 immediately, quoting Operation Botany.
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn said: “McCorquodale may have injuries and we are concerned for his welfare. Please, if you have seen McCorquodale call 999 quoting Operation Botany, or if you wish to remain completely anonymous, call Crimestoppers – your identity will be protected.”
