Teen sex offender caged for eight years after preying on underage girls in Burnley
Underage abuse exposed
At just 16, Billy Whitehouse took a 14-year-old girl into an abandoned Burnley shed. There, he kissed her before having sex, fully aware she was underage.
Violence and rape in December 2021
In a chilling December 2021 attack, Whitehouse threatened to stab a second victim, punched her unconscious, then dragged her into a house and raped her.
Justice served
Today, at court, Whitehouse was sentenced to eight years behind bars. He was also slapped with a lifetime order to sign the Sex Offenders Register.
Victim speaks out
“I struggle getting to sleep, and when I do, I have severe nightmares. This impacts me at work because when I get there I’m already exhausted. I’ve been prescribed anti-depressants because of what Billy did. The effects are long-lasting and I’m still dealing with the aftermath every single day,” the second victim told the court.
Police condemn Whitehouse’s twisted crimes
Detective Constable Matthew Bourne of East CID said: “Whitehouse poses a clear danger to women and girls. His warped sense of entitlement and appalling attitude led to some extremely serious crimes that will haunt his victims for years.”
