Three Boys Caught with Knives in Ilford Knife Scare

Three youths were arrested after police uncovered two large knives during a stop and search in Ilford. Officers swooped on March 21 following reports of armed and masked youngsters lurking in Loxford Lane.

Swift Police Action

The Metropolitan Police rushed to the scene after being tipped off about the group carrying weapons and wearing masks. They quickly cordoned off the area near a block of flats and detained three males for searching.

Officers seized two hefty knives and arrested two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, alongside a 22-year-old man. All three now face suspicion of possessing offensive weapons.

Met Police Confirm Arrests

“Two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, and a 22-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons. On Friday, 21 March, police were called to Loxford Lane, Ilford, over reports of a group of youths believed to be armed and masked in the area. Officers located the group near a block of flats where two knives were recovered and seized. All three suspects have been bailed pending further enquiries.”

Local Fear as Knife Crime Climb Continues

The incident has rattled residents amid rising knife crime worries across the area. Authorities are on high alert, urging locals to stay vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour straight away.

One anonymous neighbour said: “It’s alarming to hear about young people involved in such dangerous activities. We need more community outreach to tackle this problem.”
