Three Jailed for Brutal Luton Pub Brawl Leaving Man Seriously Injured

Three Men Jailed Over Brutal Pub Brawl in Luton

Ashley Walsh, 26, Kyle Bangs, 27, and Tom Livingstone, 28, were locked up following a savage attack outside a Luton pub. The trio pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent after a violent fight erupted on the evening of 26 August.

Violent Attack Caught on CCTV

At around 9pm, police were called to a disturbance at a public house in Lake Street. CCTV footage revealed Livingstone starting a fight with the victim before throwing a bottle. Walsh and Bangs then charged in, landing continuous punches and kicks while the victim lay unconscious on the ground.

Severe Injuries and Swift Justice

The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. All three men were arrested shortly after and sentenced at Luton Crown Court on 4 December.

Detective Constable Emma Janes said: “I am glad that Livingstone, Bangs and Walsh will spend time behind bars for their actions, and I hope they use this time to reflect on how they have behaved.”

“This type of violent behaviour will not be tolerated in Luton, and I hope this sends a very strong message to those who believe that acting in this way is acceptable, and that they can get away with it.”

“As we go into the festive season, let this be a reminder to everyone to take responsibility for your actions; to drink in moderation and think twice about the impact your actions could have.”

“A decision made in a split second can have a negative effect on not just someone else’s life, but both yours and your family’s.”

Sentences and Penalties

  • Tom Livingstone was handed three years in prison.
  • Ashley Walsh and Kyle Bangs each received three years and six months.
  • All three face victim surcharges of £190.
