Three Men Jailed Over £2.25 Million Cannabis Haul
Three men have been locked up for more than a decade combined after a massive drugs bust across the UK. The Hampshire Constabulary’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit busted the trio in December 2018, stopping a huge cannabis operation. The haul seized was worth a staggering £2.25 million.
Drug Traffickers Caught Red-Handed
Mariusz Musial, 31, from Waterlooville, got five years behind bars. Marcin Wielgus, 42, from Hertfordshire, was handed three and a half years. Wojceich Michalski, 54, from Luton, picked up 21 months. All three admitted conspiracy to supply cannabis earlier this year.
Thousands of Pounds of Cannabis Seized
- Michalski was caught driving a vehicle with 55kg of cannabis on the M1 in Buckinghamshire on December 3, 2018.
- Musial and Wielgus were linked to a 170kg cannabis load found in a van near Coalville, Leicestershire, the day after.
The total haul had an eye-watering street value of £2.25 million.
Judge Praises Police Operation
“This was a sophisticated conspiracy to distribute imported cannabis,” said Judge Rowland. “The police should be commended for their extensive surveillance operation.”
The arrests mark another win in the fight against organised drug crime, hitting key players and removing vast quantities of cannabis from UK streets.
