Brutal Kidnap Gang Jailed After Savage Attack on Two Victims
Three thugs forced a young man and woman into a car at knifepoint before subjecting their victims to a terrifying ordeal. Toushane Spencer, 19, Derek Harris, 18, and Abdillah Cumar, 21, launched their shocking attack on January 13, 2020, in St Neots.
Victims Tasered, Tortured and Abused in Chilling Kidnap
The gang forced the pair to drive to a property where another 20-year-old man was Tasered. They bundled him into the car and ordered the driver to first drop the woman at Corby train station, then head to a home in Culross Walk, Corby.
Inside the Corby address, one victim was savagely punched and kicked. Terrifyingly, attackers poured boiling water from a kettle over his hands and shaved his hair off. The victim’s desperate escape led to a nearby Morrison’s supermarket, where he sought help.
Rapid Police Response Sees Attackers Busted
Firearms officers swooped, protecting the victims and arresting Spencer, Harris, and Cumar. At Northampton Crown Court, the trio pleaded guilty to kidnap charges. Spencer took an extra hit, pleading guilty to Section 18 GBH (grievous bodily harm).

- Cumar: 5 years, 2 months
- Harris (also for stabbing): 9 years
“Spencer is a dangerous and depraved individual who deserves to spend a long time behind bars,” said Lead Investigator DC Andrew Wakling. “The injuries from boiling water on the victim’s hands are something I won’t forget.”
Detective Superintendent Paul Rymarz of Northamptonshire Police praised the investigation. “Violence like this won’t be tolerated. We’ll be relentless in catching those responsible, just like in this case.”
