Kent Crime Squad nab trio for spate of daring break-ins

Targeting Canterbury and Coastal Towns

Kent’s Crime Squad has launched a full investigation after a string of burglaries hit the Canterbury area, including Whitstable and Herne Bay. Between October 2022 and March 2023, crooks broke into 13 vehicles and four buildings, swiping valuable power tools from vans and local businesses.

Three Charged in Conspiracy Case

Jeff Beaney, 42, from Holm Oak Road, Canterbury, alongside Shri Beaney, 25, and Keenan Beaney, 18, both from Oxford Road, Canterbury, have been slapped with charges. They face accusations of conspiracy to burgle homes, conspiracy to burgle non-dwellings, and conspiracy to steal from motor vehicles.

Court Dates Set

  • Jeff Beaney Sr is bailed to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 17 May.
  • Shri Beaney and Keenan Beaney are due to appear at the same court on 20 June.
