Alfonso ‘Alfie’ Sibley Named Victim in Ewell Pub Stabbing

Surrey Police have identified the young man fatally stabbed outside The Wheatsheaf pub in Ewell last week. The victim is 23-year-old Alfonso “Alfie” Sibley.

Shock After Brutal Stabbing Near Ewell Pub

Police rushed to an alleyway beside The Wheatsheaf on Kingston Road at around 3.30pm on Tuesday 9 December. They found Alfie with fatal stab wounds. Emergency crews pronounced him dead at the scene, sending shockwaves through the local community.

Teen Arrested and Charged Over Murder

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with Alfie’s murder. He appeared at Guildford Magistrates Court on Monday 15 December and is scheduled to return to Guildford Crown Court on 22 December.

Three other suspects — a 15-year-old, a 17-year-old, and a 20-year-old — were also arrested on suspicion of murder but have since been released on bail as investigations continue.

Police Plea: Witnesses Asked to Speak Up

Detectives are urging anyone with information about the stabbing to come forward. Witnesses should contact Surrey Police quoting reference PR/45250148304.

“Our thoughts are with Alfie’s family at this tragic time. They request privacy to grieve,” Surrey Police said.
