Two Men Arrested After Violent Assault in Ashford

Just before 11pm on Sunday 30 June 2024, Kent Police rushed to New Rents in Ashford following reports of a violent attack. A man and woman had been assaulted during a disturbance involving a group of men. The man suffered a serious head injury and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

Suspects in Custody as Investigation Continues

On Tuesday 2 July, officers from East Kent CID made arrests, detaining two men linked to the assault. 27-year-old Miles Christian of Watermead Close and 32-year-old Daniel Christian of Speldhurst Close face serious charges.

Grievous Bodily Harm and Assault Charges Laid

Miles Christian was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Daniel Christian faces the same charge plus an additional count of assault by beating. Both appeared at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 3 July and were remanded in custody.

The case is scheduled for a hearing at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 5 August.
