Man Stabbed Twice in Gravesend Street Attack

A man in his twenties was viciously stabbed twice in the back while walking down King Street, Gravesend, around 10.30pm on Monday, August 1, 2022. Two men approached him before chasing and attacking him with a weapon.

Suspects Known to Victim, Police Say

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and later released after treatment. Police described the attackers as two black men dressed in dark clothing, believed to be known to the victim.

Local Man Arrested and Released on Bail

A 21-year-old local man was arrested on Tuesday, August 2, in connection with the stabbing. He has since been released on bail while investigations continue.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage

We are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to contact our appeal line,” said Detective Inspector Pete Smith of North Kent CID. “We are also asking motorists with dashcams and residents with CCTV to check for any footage that could help.”

Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a black Vauxhall Corsa near King Street around the time of the attack.
