Two Teens Charged Over Fatal Ashford Stabbing

Detectives have charged two boys following the savage stabbing murder of a 19-year-old in Ashford. The victim was found dead at the scene on Brookfield Road just before 12.30pm on Saturday, 14 March 2020, suffering fatal stab wounds.

Murder Charge for 17-Year-Old

The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised a murder charge against a 17-year-old boy from Ashford. A second 17-year-old has been charged with assisting an offender. Both teenagers are currently in custody and will face Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 17 March.

Meanwhile, officers from Kent and the 1 Serious Crime Directorate have seized four knives that could be linked to the killing.

Ongoing Inquiries and Previous Arrests

  • A 24-year-old Ashford man, arrested on the day of the stabbing, remains on police bail until 23 March.
  • A 19-year-old man, arrested two days later, has been released on bail until 7 April.

Detectives are urging anyone who was near Brookfield Road, close to Clockhouse, around 12.27pm on 14 March to come forward. Motorists and cyclists with dashcam footage are also asked to get in touch.
