Two Drug Dealers Busted After Massive Cannabis and Cocaine Haul Found in Tent Near Faversham
Kent Police Uncover £28,500 Worth of Drugs Hidden in Tent
Kent Police have cracked down on drug crime near Faversham after discovering a stash of cannabis and cocaine hidden in a tent on land near Hernhill. A warrant executed in September 2022 uncovered 2.5 kilograms of cannabis, valued at around £20,000, and 94 grams of high-purity cocaine worth approximately £8,500. The illegal haul was also found inside a BMW parked on the property.
Suspects Caught Red-Handed and Fingerprinted
Anthony George, 57, was arrested at the scene and later linked to the cocaine packaging through DNA tests. Forensic experts also found fingerprints belonging to Karn Martin, 36, who was arrested at his Whitstable home the same day. Martin’s phone contained messages showing he supplied drugs across Kent.
Sentenced: Jail Time for Class A and B Drug Supply
Both men admitted to supplying Class A and B drugs. On September 26, 2024, Martin was handed three years behind bars at Canterbury Crown Court. George received two years and ten months. George lives in Hernhill, while Martin is from Whitstable.
Kent Police Vow to Keep Fighting Drug Networks
“These two men thought they would avoid detection by hiding their drugs on a plot of land, but our actions show we will track down dealers wherever they operate and bring them to justice,” said Detective Sergeant Jon Saxby, Kent Police’s deputy senior investigating officer.
“Our investigation gave them no alternative but to admit the charges. We will continue to disrupt drug network activity, especially that which fuels violence, and ensure those involved face jail time.”
Kent Police reaffirm their commitment to targeting drug crime and dismantling criminal operations across the county.
