Two Drug Dealers Jailed Over Brutal Rochester Stabbing
Two drug dealers who stabbed a man six times and left him to bleed out in a Rochester street have been locked up for over 30 years. The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate led the investigation into the cold-blooded attack.
Victim Left to Die After Savage Drugs Dispute
Billy Dole, 28, and Levi Webb, 22, became embroiled in a drugs row that ended with 39-year-old Peter Beale stabbed repeatedly on 17 September 2018. Mr Beale was discovered dead the next morning by a passerby.
Dole admitted murder in March 2019, while Webb pleaded guilty to manslaughter in December. Both men also confessed to involvement in the supply of Class A drugs. Sentencing took place at Maidstone Crown Court on 17 July 2020.
CCTV Reveals Chilling Details of the Attack
- Webb confronted Mr Beale in Rochester over the drug dispute.
- He then called Dole, his drug supply accomplice.
- Security footage showed the pair meeting in the town centre before attacking near High Street bridge.
- Mr Beale was stabbed six times and left to die, his pockets searched for valuables after the assault.
Dole was first flagged to police when CCTV caught a white Mercedes at the scene during the likely time of the stabbing. Webb was seen waiting for Dole before they moved together to attack the victim.
After the crime, Dole’s partner Rachel Woods and her mother Linda Harris helped him slip away to Turkey. Police caught him upon his return to Gatwick Airport on 27 September. Webb was arrested earlier on 21 September, with Mr Beale’s DNA later found on a watch in Webb’s possession.
Sentences: Justice Served
- Billy Dole (Chorister Crescent, Hoo): 21-and-a-half years for murder and drug offences.
- Levi Webb (Station Road, Northfleet): 10 years, nine months for manslaughter and drug offences.
- Rachel Woods (Dole’s partner): 3 years, 9 months for assisting an offender.
- Linda Harris (Woods’ mother): 3 years, 5 months for assisting an offender.
“The attack on Mr Beale was clearly premeditated and the remorselessness of both offenders is shown by their decision to leave him lying in an alley to die,” said Detective Chief Inspector Tristan Kluibenschadl.
“Their bad character is further evidenced by their desire to make money through selling illegal drugs.”
“I am pleased our efforts have resulted in two dangerous offenders being convicted of serious offences and the substantial sentences they have received mean they are no longer able to cause harm to the public.”
