Brothers Jailed for Brutal Leeds Murder
Two brothers from Springdale Avenue have been locked up for life after the savage killing of Khalfan Seif, 33. Amaan Ansar, 20, and Sahil Ansar, 19, were found guilty at Leeds Crown Court on October 27.
Knife Attack Ends in Tragedy
The deadly incident unfolded on the night of January 14. At 11:17pm, the three men knocked and then forced their way into Mr Seif’s home. They threatened him and his wife with a large knife, demanding property.
Mr Seif’s wife was threatened in the sitting room. She handed over her phone and fled to get help. Moments later, she found her husband staggering outside, stabbed in the stomach.
Despite emergency surgery, Mr Seif sadly died the following evening.
Sentence Delivered After Intense Police Inquiry
- Amaan Ansar got life with a minimum 26 years behind bars. He was also convicted of robbing Mr Seif’s wife during the attack.
- Sahil Ansar was jailed for life with a 25-year minimum term.
- Wahaab Saif, 19, from Crosland Moor, received 14 years for manslaughter, with a minimum of 9 years and 2 months.
The Ansar brothers’ sentences also factored in separate crimes they were convicted of during the same trial.
