Two Teens Locked Up After Shocking Sutton Coldfield Stabbing

Two teenagers have been sentenced to prison following a brutal stabbing outside a store in Sutton Coldfield.

Close Call as Victim Stabbed in Chest

Tunuie Linton, 18, from Solihull, and a 17-year-old boy — who cannot be named due to legal reasons — pleaded guilty to wounding after a violent attack on 22 May 2022.

The pair assaulted a 20-year-old man unprovoked in Churchill Parade. The victim was stabbed in the chest, with the blade missing his heart by less than one centimetre. He also suffered a hand injury during the attack.

Extensive Probe Leads to Arrests

Thankfully, the victim survived. Police launched a thorough investigation, sifting through hours of CCTV footage, conducting multiple ID parades, and carrying out forensic analysis and interviews. This led to the arrest and charging of Linton and the 17-year-old.

Five Years Behind Bars for Attackers

Both teens admitted to wounding. On 25 April, they were each sentenced to five years in prison by Birmingham Crown Court.
