Car Crime Ring Busted on M25 and in Eltham
Three Nabbed on M25 in High-Speed Sting
Kent Crime Squad officers stopped a vehicle on the M25, north of London, late on the evening of Wednesday, 19 April 2023. Two men and a woman were hauled in at the scene.
Another Arrest in Eltham Raids
Soon after, police swooped on a property in Eltham, south-east London, arresting a fourth suspect.
Charged with Conspiring to Steal Motor Vehicles
Andrius Petrauskas, 44, from Pinnell Road, Eltham, and Nikas Biliakevicius, 26, of Estcourt Street, Hull, now face charges of conspiring to steal cars.
The crime spree covered Kent locations including Folkestone, Maidstone, Tonbridge, and Gravesend, plus offences in Essex and Hertfordshire. The thefts occurred between 23 March and 15 April 2023.
Next Steps in Court
Petrauskas and Biliakevicius appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 21 April. Both have been remanded in custody and will face Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, 22 May.
The two other suspects arrested have been released on bail as investigations continue.
