Two Liverpool Men Charged Over Huge Drugs Haul
Last night, Richard Weild was hit with charges of conspiracy to supply heroin, cocaine, and cannabis, plus possession of criminal property. His accomplice, John Morris, faces conspiracy to supply the same Class A drugs. Both men will appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court today.
Four Arrested in Major Drug Raids
The suspects, along with two others, were arrested Tuesday night during raids at four addresses across Liverpool’s Wavertree and Knotty Ash, and in Wallasey, Wirral. The swoops were part of a big probe into illegal drug supply.
Operation Venetic Cracks Encrypted Drug Rings
The arrests are linked to Operation Venetic, the UK’s crackdown following the bust of encrypted comms platform EncroChat — a gamechanger in tackling organised crime.
Authorities seized large amounts of suspected heroin, cocaine, and cannabis, all sent off for forensic examination. High-value items were also recovered under the Proceeds of Crime Act, hitting criminal profits hard.
OCP Pushes Back Against Drug Threat
The Organised Crime Partnership (OCP) says battling Class A drugs remains a top priority in its mission to keep the public safe.
