Knife-Wielding Duo Drive Victim Around Doncaster in Shocking Robbery
Victim Forced into Car at Knifepoint
Louis Robson and Daniel Singleton terrorised a man walking home in Doncaster in the early hours, forcing him into their car at knifepoint. Around 5am on Sunday, 6 September last year, the victim was walking along Thorne Road when a white Mini Cooper pulled up. Robson jumped out, asked for the time, then brandished a large knife and ordered the man into the vehicle.
Phone and Jewellery Snatched During Frightening Ordeal
The victim, gripped by fear, got into the back of the car while Singleton drove them around. Robson threatened him relentlessly, forcing him to hand over his phone and jewellery before finally dropping him off in Intake. The man then managed to escape and run for help.
Swift Justice at Doncaster Crown Court
Police acted fast, arresting Robson, 28, from Queen’s Road, Doncaster, and Singleton, 37, homeless, within hours. Robson pleaded guilty to robbery with a knife and was slammed with a three-year prison sentence. Singleton, admitting assisting an offender, was handed 12 months behind bars.

“The victim remained remarkably calm throughout this terrifying ordeal,” said DS Claire Moss from Doncaster CID. “Their bravery and detailed evidence were key to securing these convictions.”
