Grimsby Burglars Sentenced After Brutal Home Attack
Aaron Page, 24, of Redbourne Road, Grimsby, was handed a hefty 6 years and nine months after pleading guilty to multiple burglaries. His accomplice, Dillon (aka Dylan) Gregersen, 23, from Lincoln Boulevard, Grimsby, was found guilty of an initial burglary and sentenced to two and a half years behind bars.
Early Morning Terror on Sherwood Road
At 2.20am on 16 September 2021, a couple on Sherwood Road were woken by loud banging at their front door. When the husband went to investigate, masked men burst in armed with a machete. The intruders demanded money, and when the man claimed he had none, they slashed him across the head and shoulders. The victim suffered serious, deep cuts in a terrifying attack.
Aaron Page admitted his part in this vicious assault. Both men had previously targeted the same house, stealing property before returning to threaten the victims into silence.
Police React: ‘Dangerous Thugs Brought to Justice’
“This was a particularly nasty burglary where the victim could very easily have lost his life from the injuries,” said Detective Constable Nigel Morgan, Officer in the Case.
“I’m pleased we could bring this case to court and seek justice for the brave victims who showed remarkable patience throughout. Page and Gregersen are extremely dangerous individuals who would stop at nothing to get what they wanted.
“These sentences reflect the seriousness of the case. I hope it gives the victims some justice and allows both offenders time to reform while behind bars.”
