Two Men Locked Up Over Massive Class A Drug Ring

Ashley Hunt, 31, and Nicholas Bullock, also 31, have copped hefty prison sentences following their guilty pleas to conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property. The pair faced Swindon Crown Court back in May 2019.

Drug Network Busted After SOCU Crackdown

Hunt, from Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire, got slammed with eight years and two months behind bars. Bullock, of Kingswood, South Gloucestershire, was handed seven years and four months in May 2020.

Their arrests came after a Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) sting in 2018 targeting a Swindon-based drug dealing gang. The two were key players controlling parts of the operation from Bristol, police revealed.

Police Warn: Drug Dealers Won’t Get Off Easy

“This is a good result following some intensive investigation from the team,” said Detective Sergeant Neil Hilton, who led the SOCU probe. “These men were principal members of a drug network, coordinating supply from Bristol.”

“Illegal drugs hit communities hard, affecting not only users but innocent residents too. These sentences send a clear message: if you deal drugs, we will come after you and your associates.”

He added a plea for the public to stay vigilant: “Help us by reporting suspicious activity or unexplained wealth. Call 101 for non-emergencies, or 999 if a crime is happening.”
