Stolen Van Drama Unfolds in Top Valley
Police tracked down a white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter just 30 minutes after it was reported stolen from Leeming Street, Mansfield, at 11.30am on Tuesday, 29 November.

Officers soon grew suspicious that the theft report wasn’t genuine. When they found the van, a 28-year-old woman driving it was promptly arrested and taken into custody.
Man Nabbed on Bus After Police Hunt
Minutes later, a 33-year-old man was also arrested on a bus heading from Mansfield to nottingham/" title="Nottingham" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Nottingham. Cops had tracked his movements closely before swooping.
Detectives Digging Deeper
“Officers did a great job in tracking down the van and detaining two suspects at separate locations within an hour of this report,” said Detective Inspector Luke Todd of Nottinghamshire Police. “A team of detectives are now working hard to fully understand the true nature of this case so that any criminality can be uncovered and appropriate action taken.”
Both suspects have been bailed as inquiries continue.
