Moped Mayhem in Gravesend: Four Arrested After Antisocial Quad Bike Spree

Kent Police were called at 11am on Sunday 26 February 2023 after reports flooded in of dozens of moped and quad bike riders causing chaos near Rochester Road, Gravesend.

High-Flying Helicopter Tracks Riders to Isle of Sheppey

Officers swooped on the scene with aerial support from a police helicopter. The wild riders were tracked all the way to Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey, where four suspects were snapped up and five motorbikes seized.

Six Face Charges Following Lawless Ride

  • Liam Brum, 23, of Yevele Close, Queenborough, charged with driving without license or insurance, failing to stop for police, and careless driving.
  • Jack Courtney, 32, of James Street, Sheerness, charged with driving without due care or attention.

Both men have been bailed and are set to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court: Brum on Wednesday 29 March, Courtney on Thursday 27 April. Two other men arrested have also been bailed pending further investigations.

Police continue probing the incident as residents welcome the clampdown on reckless riders terrorising their streets.
