Quad Bike Chaos: Four Arrested After Moped Mayhem in Gravesend

Kent Police swooped on a gang causing havoc on mopeds and quad bikes near Rochester Road, Gravesend. The drama unfolded around 11am on Sunday, 26 February 2023, after reports flooded in of antisocial riding.

Police Helicopter Tracks Riders to Isle of Sheppey

Officers quickly attended the scene and, with help from a police helicopter, tracked the unruly bikers all the way to Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey. The chase led to the seizure of five motorbikes.

Four Arrested and Faced with Serious Charges

  • Liam Brum, 23, from Yevele Close, Queenborough, was charged with driving without a licence or insurance, failing to stop, and careless driving.
  • Jack Courtney, 32, of James Street, Sheerness, faces charges of driving without due care and attention.

Both men have been bailed and will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court. Brum is due on Wednesday, 29 March, while Courtney must attend on Thursday, 27 April.

Two other men arrested at the scene remain on bail as investigations continue.
