Antisocial Riding Sparks Police Action

Kent Police were called out at 11am on Sunday 26 February after dozens of mopeds and quad bikes caused chaos near Rochester Road, Gravesend. Drivers were accused of riding in an antisocial and dangerous manner, sparking public outrage.

Police Helicopter Tracks Riders to Isle of Sheppey

Officers, with backup from a police helicopter, tracked the unruly riders all the way to Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey. The dramatic aerial pursuit ended with four arrests and five motorbikes seized by police.

Perpetrators Charged and Bailed

  • Liam Brum, 23, of Yevele Close, Queenborough, was charged with driving without a licence or insurance, failing to stop for police, and careless driving.
  • Jack Courtney, 32, of James Street, Sheerness, faces charges for driving without due care and attention.

Both men have been bailed and will appear in Medway Magistrates’ Court – Brum on Wednesday 29 March and Courtney on Thursday 27 April.
