At around 3.20am on Friday, 11 February 2022, trouble erupted on St George’s Street, near Canterbury Lane.
Man Attacked by Two Suspects
A man was reportedly assaulted by two other men in the quiet early hours. When a witness tried to step in, he was punched too and suffered facial injuries.
Two Arrested but Released on Bail
Police quickly launched an appeal for information. This led to the arrest of two local men, aged 31 and 32, both from Canterbury. They were arrested on suspicion of assault but have since been released on bail as investigations continue.
