Two Teens Snared After Wild Car Chase Through Brighton Streets
Two teenagers were arrested following a high-speed police chase and crash in Brighton in the early hours of Tuesday, June 30.
BMW Flies Through Bear Road – Police Give Chase
At around 2:50am, police spotted a silver BMW driving erratically along Bear Road. Officers signalled for the driver to stop, but the car sped off instead, sparking a tense pursuit.
Crash In The Avenue – Driver Flees Scene
The BMW was soon found in The Avenue, having slammed into several parked cars. The driver vanished from the scene before police arrived.
Two Boys Arrested – Serious Charges Unfold
- A 14-year-old Brighton boy was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and causing damage under £5,000.
- A 13-year-old, also from Brighton, faces multiple charges including dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking, driving without insurance, driving without a proper licence, failing to stop for police, and possession of an offensive weapon in public.
Both youths were released on conditional bail as police investigations continue.
