Two teenage boys have been arrested following a shocking stabbing on Worthing seafront earlier this month. The incident erupted in broad daylight, sparking panic among locals and visitors.
Knife-Wielding Chase Sparks Panic on Worthing Seafront
The drama unfolded just after 1pm on Wednesday, 1 October. Witnesses reported seeing three teenagers, one armed with a knife, chasing an 18-year-old man along Marine Parade near West Street. The victim sustained a hand injury and was rushed to hospital before being discharged.
Two Teens Arrested and Bailed in Stabbing Probe
Police arrested two Worthing boys aged 16 and 17 on suspicion of wounding with intent. They have since been released on conditional bail until 5 January as detectives continue to investigate the vicious attack.
“This was a serious incident that happened in daylight hours on Worthing seafront, when there would have been a lot of people around,” said Detective Constable Darran Newman. “We’re urging anyone with any information to please come forward.”
