Teen Thugs Bailed After Brutal Taxi Attack in Stockport

Two teen suspects arrested for attempted murder after a violent taxi and delivery driver robbery in Stockport have been let off on bail. Four lads were snapped up following the savage early-morning muggings in Adswood.

Taxi Driver Beaten After Forced Stop

At around 1.30am, a taxi driver was targeted after his two passengers demanded he pull over at the corner of Chelford Grove and Handley Close. As he stopped, four men yanked open his car door and launched a vicious assault.

The attackers, including the original passengers, then fled on foot, stealing the driver’s mobile phone. The victim remains in hospital after surgery but is now in stable condition.

Four Arrested, Two Teens Bailed

Police arrested four boys in total. Among them, two 17-year-olds face charges of robbery and attempted murder but have since been released on bail as the investigation continues.
