Teens Arrested After Nursery Fire in Bulwell

Police rushed to Steadfold Close, Bulwell, after a fire broke out at around 1.30pm on Sunday, 2 July. Working with Nottingham Fire and Rescue Service, officers quickly doused the flames. Investigators soon ruled the blaze was deliberately set.

Break-In and Arson Linked

City North neighbourhood police identified two suspects linked to the fire. These 14-year-olds were also tied to a break-in at the nursery two weeks earlier, where money was reportedly stolen.

“Arson is an incredibly serious offence that can lead to catastrophic consequences,” said Bulwell Sergeant Jerone Taylor. “We always work closely with fire colleagues to investigate fully and take these incidents seriously.”

Sergeant Taylor added they acted swiftly to piece together evidence and make arrests. He reassured locals with increased patrols and urged anyone with info to come forward.
