Wiltshire Police have launched a murder investigation after a man in his 50s was found dead following a serious assault in Swindon at around 1am. The incident took place inside a property on Westbourne Court, Rodbourne.
Emergency services arrived to find the victim suffering from severe injuries. Despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

“This is a serious incident which has sadly resulted in a man losing his life. I can confirm we have arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of murder,” said Detective Superintendent Chris Feerick.
